Mercedes-Benz will pursue a differentiated strategic approach with its vans in the future. As presented last year (2023), the company is aiming for a premium strategy for its commercial vans. In the future, a focused luxury strategy will apply to all newly developed, privately positioned vans, as is the case for all Mercedes‑Benz passenger cars. The aim is to fully implement this strategic change with the introduction of the upcoming modular and scalable Van Electric Architecture – VAN.EA for short – from 2026. The new private midsize vans EQV and V-Class are an important milestone on this path. Both are further elevated with new exterior and interior designs. There is also an increase in comfort and safety, especially thanks to more intelligent, digital networking. The models have been available to order from Mercedes‑Benz sales partners and online since January 2024. The standard equipment has been comprehensively upgraded and thereby tailored more precisely to customer requirements. The new V-Class starts at a list price of 59,470.25 euros[1], the new EQV from 75,281.78 euros. The new V-Class also forms the basis for the V-Class Marco Polo camper van, which is offered ex factory. It starts at 80,004.89 euros1 and adopts the model's attractiveness almost completely.

A third of your month is bound to be ‘extraordinary,’ according to a new study, commissioned by Santa Margherita and conducted by Talker Research.<br/><br/>The poll of 2,000 American wine drinkers found the average person has 10 extraordinary days per month — 120 every year. <br/><br/>And if you live in Hawaii, Idaho or South Dakota, you can bump that up to 13 days per month.<br/><br/>Three in four (74%) believe living a joyful lifestyle is subjective and unique to everyone. However, many agreed on what defines a joyful life: feeling happy (77%), being healthy (71%), having positive personal and family relationships (69%) and feeling comfortable (69%).

Half of Americans believe climate change will devastate the earth during their lifetime, according to new research.<br/><br/>The survey of 5,000 Americans, split evenly by state, revealed that 48% of all respondents believe they’ll live to see climate change destroy the planet.<br/><br/>Respondents in Hawaii were the most likely to agree (66%), with Vermont (59%) and New Mexico (56%) rounding out the top three states most concerned about the effect of climate change in their lifetime.<br/><br/>Washington (55%) and Minnesota (54%) were fourth and fifth, respectively.<br/><br/>Commissioned by Avocado Green Mattress and conducted by Talker Research, the survey also asked respondents if they believe climate change will have a greater impact on their state, versus other states.<br/><br/>Hawaiians were again the most concerned, with 61% believing climate change will be worse for their state than others — this time, followed by Alaskans (55%) and Californians (54%).<br/><br/>Those in Louisiana (53%) and New York (49%) were also concerned about the impact on their state.<br/><br/>Regardless of where they live, 65% of respondents wish they could do more to be environmentally conscious in their day-to-day lives.<br/><br/>“Our experiences, including where we live, have an understandable impact on our worries about climate change,” said Laura Scott, Director of Brand Marketing at Avocado Green Mattress. “That's why learning about the ways we can protect the environment in our local communities is a great way to get involved and see firsthand the change we're making.”<br/><br/>Some respondents admit, that despite taking environmentally conscious actions — they’re not doing it for the good of the planet, but rather, they’re doing it for a more selfish reason.<br/><br/>The survey revealed that 37% of respondents are taking environmentally conscious actions solely because it helps them feel like a good person.<br/><br/>But maybe their reason for taking environmentally friendly actions doesn’t matter: when asked if the intent of their actions or the end result is more important, 33% said the result — with 50% saying both were equally important.<br/><br/>And regardless of why they’re taking environmentally conscious actions, 32% said doing so helps them to sleep better at night.<br/><br/>Half of respondents (47%) said taking care of the environment helps them to take better care of themselves — but others find it exhausting to worry about the environment.<br/><br/>Results also revealed that 10% feel taking care of the environment means they don’t always have time to take care of themselves.<br/><br/>“Taking care of yourself and our planet are harmonious,” said Christine Carpio, Sr. Manager, Community + Social Impact at Avocado Green Mattress. “Choosing eco-friendly products that nurture your well-being ensures your rest and relaxation don’t come at the expense of the environment. The key is making choices that make you feel fulfilled.”

Another of the most relevant characteristics of working with a material such as flax is that “each CUP Bucket seat is unique. No two pieces can ever be the same due to the orientation and length of the fibres” Francesca points out. Therefore, as a result of the uniqueness of this natural fibre and its manufacturing process, each customer is going to have a seat with its own personality. These distinctive features are captured in the woven pattern of the backrest and serve to enhance CUPRA’s disruptive DNA.<br/><br/>CUPRA is collaborating with Bcomp and Sabelt to integrate the flax fibre and develop the innovative structural shell, making it possible to implement an environmentally friendly material in the CUPRA Born VZ, reducing the use of plastics as well as providing the same level of safety as carbon fibre. Francesca Sangalli highlights that through this synergy “we are changing the sporty aesthetics to incorporate a functional part made of flax fibre in the interior of a car.” This is yet another example of CUPRA’s push to break barriers and challenge the status quo.<br/><br/>As part of CUPRA’s strategy to explore and introduce new sustainable materials in the production of its vehicles, “we’ve been researching the use of flax fibre for some time to integrate it in our car seats. We presented this project at the Unstoppable Impulse event in Terramar and are now happy to say that it’s been successfully implemented” says Francesca. This concept has gone from being an inspiration to forming part of the brand’s DNA. This commitment to sustainable materials can also be seen in the upholstery, as the base is made with SEAQUAL® YARN fabric created from plastic waste extracted from the sea, in addition to the use of DINAMICA microfibre, which is made with 73% recycled polyester.

With the engine to finish production this summer, the Batur Convertible will be one of the last ever Bentleys to use this incredible powertrain.<br/><br/>Bespoke two-seat grand touring<br/>Bentley has a rich history of open-cockpit cars, from the very first Bentley of 1919, through the company’s foundation years in the 1920s, to the most recent - the Bacalar. The architecture of the Batur Convertible has allowed Mulliner’s designers to seize the opportunity to create a theme that not only blends the design of the Bacalar and Batur but includes the usability of a convertible. The designers also chose to highlight the two-seater character with a ‘wraparound’ cockpit inspired by the design of the Bacalar.<br/><br/>The dramatic ‘airbridge’ behind the seats and tapered cowls at the rear hark back to the barchetta sports cars of old, whilst underlining the promise of a dynamic, driver-focused adventure in a cosseting, cocooned environment. The airbridge and tapered cowls are not only aesthetic, but also provide a semi-enclosed luggage compartment behind the two front seats.<br/><br/>The convertible roof delivers an aesthetic of beauty as a modern, tactile alternative to a hardtop roof. A combination of insulation material, sealing system refinements and acoustic treatments create a cossetting environment in a system which can be deployed or stowed in just 19 seconds, with the car travelling at speeds of up to 30 mph (50 km/h), transforming the car from a luxurious coupe into an open-top Grand Tourer at the touch of a button.<br/><br/>Personal and uniquely commisioned<br/>Mulliner’s in-house design team will help co-create every Batur Convertible with its customer, working together through a specially created Mulliner visualiser that allows any part of the car to be customised in colour and surface finish. Endless samples of unique materials bring texture to the process, and the resulting designs will be truly individual and created by the customer – limited only by their imagination.<br/><br/>Customers will be able to specify the colour and finish of practically every surface of the Batur Convertible, to create a car as individual as they are. Beyond the exterior form of the car lies an almost endless array of choices for each car’s future owner to make.
