Solomon assisted Oscar-winner Bill Condon on DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and MR. HOLMES, starring Ian McKellen and Laura Linney. He also served as Condon’s Associate Director on the stage production of SIDE SHOW that played La Jolla Playhouse, Kennedy Center and Broadway. He directed the first national tour of the Broadway musical TOOTSIE, with new material by Tony-winner Robert Horn, as well as the Japanese Premiere Production for TOHO Theatrical.He also directed a theatrical-cinematic hybrid production of Adam Gwon’s musical ORDINARY DAYS, featuring new material by Gwon and a production design by Emmy-winner Jason Ardizzone-West (“Jesus Christ Superstar Live”). His play MARGARET AND CRAIG, about legendary female impersonator Craig Russell, was seen in workshop at NY Stage and Film and was also part of The New Group’s New Work Series in 2016, starring Mario Cantone and Marin Ireland and directed by Tony-nominated Sheryl Kaller.He has been developing the new musical PUMP UP THE VOLUME, based on the 1990 film starring Christian Slater.He has directed workshop performances in London, Canada and NYC and will be directing the upcoming world premiere production in 2025/26.
