‘Sketches for The Swimmer’ is an early version I made in process of creating a short détournement called ‘The Swimmer’ which is itself a commentary on the 1968 film of the same name. There are aspects that work a little differently in this rough draft sketch, such as the many layers of the unmoored male figure, who appears to be leaving his own body in stages. nnFor more, see my homage to “The Swimmer (1968)
