Description: Helen Pynornn‘The End is a Distant Memory’ is an installation developed during an extended residency in the laboratory of regeneration biologist Dr Jochen Rink at The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Dresden. Rink’s speculation, that there would still be living chicken cells surviving inside fresh chicken meat on the supermarket shelf, was the starting point for the project. nnOver the course of the residency in Rink’s lab, Pynor used tissue culture techniques
