A community group has knitted a life-sized tank to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.<br/><br/>Around 30 volunteers spent eight hours a day for nine months knitting eight-inch squares for the artwork, which was modelled on a Churchill AVRE tank. The stunning creation is now a whopping 24ft (7.3cm) wide and 7ft (2.1m) tall and is covered in the olive green squares that the volunteers knitted.

Tickets for many LNER weekday and weekend services up to and including Friday, September 6 this year will be available to purchase from this Thursday (April 4).<br/><br/>Finally, a woman who died in hospital after a serious crash in Keighley last week has been named by the West Yorkshire Police. Joan McIerny was seriously injured when she was hit by a Toyota Yaris in a crash at the junction between Long Lee Lane and Cherry Tree Rise at around 6.15pm on March 25. Joan died in hospital on Saturday March 30. She was 81 years old. The driver of the Yaris stopped at the scene and has been interviewed by the police who are still appealing for witnesses of the incident.")
