Škoda Auto presents the second generation of the Kodiaq, taking sustainability, spaciousness and safety to a new level. The Czech car manufacturer’s SUV flagship has seen its dimensions increased once again and now features the first elements of the Modern Solid design language. The all-new Kodiaq comes with state-of-the-art infotainment systems, including an optional 13-inch screen and a head‑up display. Innovative Škoda Smart Dials with haptic controls and a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit come as standard. The voice control system will from mid-2024 onwards become even more advanced with the integration of the AI-based chatbot ChatGPT. Škoda’s large SUV also adopts a new interior concept based on Design Selections. The five powertrains offer outputs from 110 kW (150 hp) to 150 kW (204 hp) and are always mated to a DSG automatic transmission. The powertrain line-up now also includes a plug in hybrid version with an electric range of more than 100 kilometres and an entry-level mild-hybrid powertrain. The two top engines are combined with all-wheel drive as standard. Also making their debuts are the latest generations of the LED Matrix beam headlights with a significantly higher light output and the Dynamic Chassis Control system (DCC Plus).

Just like the Taycan Turbo GT, Four Rings is putting the finishing touches on a new flagship. It is called RS E-Tron GT Performance, reminiscent of gasoline models such as the RS6 and RS7 Performance versions.<br/><br/>Just as the current RS E-Tron GT won't be as intense as the Taycan Turbo S, it won't be as harsh as the Zuffenhausen model. However, there will be a power increase over the 637 hp and 612 lb-ft offered by the current range-topping. Audi is being coy about details (it's a teaser, after all) but is sharing images of a camouflaged car with ceramic brakes hiding behind aero wheels.<br/><br/>The revamped front and rear engines are unlikely to match the Taycan Turbo S's 938 horsepower, let alone the fierce Turbo GT's whopping 1,019 horsepower. We know that Audi engineers made changes not only to the powertrain but also to the battery pack for longer range. For reference, the new Taycan with Performance Battery Plus has a usable energy content of 98.6 kWh, while the base model has a net battery pack of 83.6 kWh.<br/><br/>Charging speed has also increased; This is no surprise considering the latest Taycan can now get 320 kW of power instead of 270 kW. Elsewhere, Audi has developed a new suspension system consisting of four individually active double-valve shock absorbers. This more responsive hardware will be adapted from the new Porsche Panamera.
